    My fitness journey has been a long one but I’m grateful that it lead me to Forge Lifting Club where I started training with Chris. My weight and overall fitness level had fluctuated drastically during Covid (gaining 10lbs to then loosing 25lbs) so I truly had no idea where to start or what I was capable of. Almost 8 months ago is when I joined the group strength classes at Forge and ended up loving it. I was intimidated and very unsure of myself when I first started. Chris helped me learn all the movements and perfect my form. He and the rest of the class were so motivating and supportive. I was thrilled to have found the form of exercise that I genuinely enjoyed doing and in such an empowering environment. A couple months in I messaged Chris to let him know I was stopping the classes. To my surprise, he offered to work with me around my schedule to keep me in the gym which I’m forever grateful for. I look forward to my 2-3 training sessions a week now and know I can count on him to push me on days that I am certainly not feeling it. He puts his all into creating a program that is centred around my personal goals. I always leave Forge feeling proud of myself and the progress I have made. I have taken away so much from my training there that translates into my day to day mindset. I can not recommend Forge and the coaches there enough!

    Before I started going to forge I felt lost and empty, I had no idea why. I kept saying to myself “i don’t wanna feel this way it’s yucky” but couldn’t put into words exactly how i felt.  My wonderful mother then asked me if i’d be interested in going to a trainer and i thankfully said yes not knowing it was going to be one of the best decisions i’ve ever made.  I then met Zac (best day ever) and he was brutally honest with me and told me what i needed to hear regarding my weight.  We made a plan and said “one year from now i’m gonna be crazy”.  I remember the feeling i felt after my first workout at forge, and that is the feeling i get everyday to this day when i step in and out of the gym. This feeling is what i was searching for when i would describe the unpleasant yucky feeling. Here I am one year later still working with Zac and the forge team happier and healthier than ever.

    I started lifting weights in my basement in 2021. I knew that endless cardio wasn't helping me achieve my goals. Been there, done that! In January 2022 I Googled personal trainers (because I had grown out of the equipment I had) and found Zac and Forge Fitness. I messaged Zac and we talked about my goals. "I want to squat heavier. To be able to do a chinup. I want to get stronger."  "That is what we do at Forge! Let's GO!"I met Zac and we started working together weekly. He designed a program for me that emphasized progressive overload and lifting heavy. I loved that he had an app that I could track my progress in and see everything from how to do a movement to tracking my personal body stats over time. Zac and the Forge family welcomed me with open arms. Within a month I had added more weight to the bar and was improving my form and technique. It was hard, and it was awesome, and my body started changing. So did my confidence! If I had a question about a lift, I could make a video and Zac would give me feedback. I liked that. He's always made me laugh and feel comfortable with it. It's been 6 months since I met Zac and joined the Forge. I haven't stopped lifting weights. I'm squatting deeper, heavier, and making the connection with the right muscles. I'm eating a ton of food and feeling the best I've ever felt in my entire life thanks to Forge!!! Do yourself a favour: meet Zac, get consistent with your nutrition, do his programming, and you will get the results that you want, whether it's fat loss or building strength and muscle. It's not easy, but nothing worth it ever is. Do it for YOU!

    Two years ago I was asked to join a gym I was hesitant because it was never really my thing and with everything going on in the world I was unsure. I decided to take them up on their offer and try forge fitness. It was probably one of the best decisions of my life! Not only did I find a gym that has amazing and caring coaches but I also found somewhere that has an amazing environment that makes everyone feel welcome.  In all honesty I found my second home and people who have become my second family! I am so glad I decided to take them up on their offer because I’ve been able to see what my body is capable of and I have noticed changes that have made me more confident. I have also become a lot stronger too haha 💪🏻. I am so thankful for everyone I have met along the way and who continue to be with me and support me!
